CAFÉ TU TU TANGO Orlando, opened in 1994, as one of five of the award-winning Coconut Grove-based eateries. Since its opening in 1991, TANGO’s innovative concept has captured the national media spotlight and garnered several awards including Nation’s Restaurant News “Hot Concepts” and the 1996 “Visionary Award” for casual dining. Specializing in an all appetizer size menu focusing on flavors from around the globe, CAFÉ TU TU TANGO resembles a Spanish artist’s loft, where original art abounds and continuous entertainment and a laid back artistic atmosphere always keep a party in progress
CAFÉ TU TU TANGO recreates the Bohemian look and feel of an artist’s garret in Barcelona. The design of each restaurant varies to some degree, yet all TANGOS share certain underlying elements and create the same energetic blend of art, color and entertainment
In tune with TANGO’s affinity for art, each restaurant sponsors a “Starving Artist Program”, employing local artists to paint, draw or sculpt, in exchange for food. The art, all available for sale, is displayed throughout the restaurant, with proceeds going to the artist. In addition, TANGO hosts an entertainment program in each restaurant, with local performers breaking out into spontaneous song, dance or other forms of performance, creating an exciting and energetic atmosphere for diners
The Orange County Convention Center is less than a mile from this restaurant, making it an ideal attraction for large groups attending events at the Convention Center.
