Art Smart
Feb 23, 2006

Recently visiting a Super Pal in Atlanta, Girlawhirl was introduced to a fabulous restaurant that combined good food, in the form of tapas-like sharing plates, with art. Artists were creating in the dining room as the crowd ate, watched and marveled at the works being produced right in front of them...

There were also magicians and dancers: a young married couple doing the tango while carefully avoiding waiters balancing their trays of food. It was all being served up at Café Tu Tu Tango®, along with skewers of marinated beef and shrimp, wood oven pizzas, duck quesadillas, and desserts to die for. Visitors, encouraged to roam the restaurant, were checking out the art, all of which was for sale.

One of the artists displaying her unique painting abilities that night struck up a conversation with Girlawhirl’s group when they enquired

about purchasing one of her paintings. Su Daitch, a self taught artist who paints the most creative abstracts, told them about classes she offered at the restaurant on Saturdays.

Girlawhirl's local pals signed up and went back the next weekend to paint, and, of course, lunch was served.
